
Eli Slavkin
Director of Global Initiatives
Eli Slavkin is a Spain-based composer, filmmaker, and educator from Los Angeles, CA, who has an impressive list of accomplishments to his name. As a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, his musical work has been credited in multiple European films such as Hogar and Salir del Ropero as well as the wildly popular Spanish Netflix drama series, Élite. Eli is signed with the American label Lost in Sound Records, led by award-winning composer Jack Wall, under the artist name Strings of Kin. His music for Strings of Kin has been streamed over 18 million times on Spotify alone as of October 2024 and has been featured in top playlists such as Guitar Lullabies and Baby Sleep Music. He is also embarking on an exciting journey to produce a series of captivating documentaries about musicians from diverse cultures across the globe.

His feeling of purpose in life is firmly rooted in his desire to help people to understand each other. Whether it be among professionals in the music industry, among members of diametrically opposed groups separated by societal gaps, or anything in between – Eli has found and continues to find great joy and purpose in bringing people together to create unlikely friendships or mutual connections. Having lived in six cities across North America, Europe, and the Middle East and traveled to over 25 countries on four continents, Eli has cultivated meaningful cross-cultural relationships in his own life and discovered a love for connecting others to people in his ever-expanding global network. He continues to dedicate his life to promoting cross-cultural empathy and understanding in his work as Director of Global Initiatives by developing partnerships with schools, governments, and organizations to expand BAF’s impact internationally.

In his free time, you can find Eli enjoying time with his friends in the historic streets and plazas of Valencia, Spain’s El Carmen neighborhood where he lives.
